New Design for Bus Tie Rod Links

These tie rod links were designed and manufactured by us for Global Bus Ventures. They wanted to increase the seating capacity of the buses so needed to add an extra axle at the rear of the bus. It needed to be a passive steering link.

The above image shows a tie rod end with the modified taper, adjuster sleeve and double clamp.

The bar is Ovaco T280 55 X 40 hollow bar. The bar was cut to size, threaded and slotted for clamping. The links needed to have adjustment for wheel alignment so we had to manufacture and fit adjuster sleeves for each end of the link as it was fixed to the chassis in the centre. The clamps were also manufactured by us in house. The steering joints were purchased and stripped of the ball studs and seats. New modified ball stud and seats were made and fitted.
